Camp Lebo

So the move is still not going as planned. We closed on our Ivy Garden house yesterday and I walked into the closing crying. Kind of embarrassing....don't know if it's the fact that we are now officially "homeless" or that I absolutely adored that house...probably both.

We are moving on to Plan B. Because we could still not get a definite decision on made on the last appraisal and could not get anyone to call us back, we are moving on to a different lender. We feel much better about this one, and they have already taken a look at the appraisal (they will have to get a new one), but they don't think it should stand in the way of us getting the house. Our time frame is now 2-3 weeks.

Today we moved for the second time. Thursday we moved from our house next door (because we thought it would be just a couple of days), and today we moved in with my parents since we are now thinking weeks. Camp Lebo. We are fortunate to at least have a place, and my parents are helping ease the transition. Tonight they are babysitting so Andy and I can go see a movie.

Please excuse the fact that we may be lacking pictures for a while. I can hardly find where my clothes are let alone a USB cord.

Pink or blue????

Blue!!

We found out today that Addison is going to have a little brother!  This will be new territory for all of us, but we're very excited.  I have had a hunch that it's been a boy all along because this pregnancy has been so different than my first.  I even bought boy bedding four weeks ago!

On the house front, we are still in the waiting stage to hear back from the bank as to whether or not this new appraisal will work.  Our movers are coming at 7am tomorrow and I would love to be able to tell them to drive it down the street instead of to a storage unit, but it's looking more like that won't happen.  It could be that we end up having to store our furniture and everything else in our house for ONE day and then move in Friday.  Stay tuned...

Update on Move

We are still at a stand still with the appraisal on our new house.  Yesterday was a horrible day because not only was it the day we were supposed to be closing, but we were getting the run around from everyone.

Apparently, with the new appraisal laws that were instated May 1, mortgage brokers can no longer deal directly with the appraiser or bank and the bank and appraiser cannot communicate either.  Enter the management company.

So all day the appraiser was saying that he sent the new comps to the management company (who has to look over them before sending them on to the bank for approval), but the management company was adamant they never received the information.

After two wasted days of no one taking responsibility we finally found out this morning that the management company does have it after all.  They will take the next few hours to look over it before sending it on to the bank.  Once the bank receives it, it will take a minimum of 48 hours for them to get to it, and then they will decide if they happy with the new comps.  I don't even want to think of it, but there is still a chance the bank can turn the new comps down.  If that happens we are back to square one and might have to start this whole process over again with a new bank, which takes weeks.

So, we will most likely be moving twice.  I am reserving storage today and we will start that fun process tonight.  Please say some prayers for us.  Obviously, a move is always stressful, but this is really taking a toll on all of us.

On a brighter note, we will most likely find out tomorrow morning if Addison is going to have a little brother or sister.  Tune in tomorrow for the blue/pink reveal....and most likely, more moving drams.

Red Tape

Yesterday was not good.  We are supposed to close on our new house Monday at 9am.  Everything is packed, and people are moving into OUR house next week.  We have 4 contractors scheduled to show up Monday morning at our new house....but this won't be happening.

Apparently, the appraisal of our new house is in "quality control".  I didn't know what this meant until yesterday.  Everything was a go, the appraisal was done, but on Friday the bank decided that they didn't like the comps the appraiser used on our new house.  "There were not enough comps in close proximity."  Problem is you can't make up comps that don't exist.  The floorplan and square footage of our new house only matches 3 other houses in our neighborhood.  And guess what, they haven't been on the market in recent years, so there is nothing to compare!

It's so hard to explain because even I don't understand it.  All I know is that we are not closing Monday....and our broker cannot even tell us when we will close.  Could be Tuesday, could be 2 weeks from now.  Except remember that everything is packed, movers are scheduled and we have to be out of our house by Thursday.

I know that this does not measure high on the 'World's Richter Scale of Problems", but to us at this moment, it's a huge stress.  I am trying  my best to just release it to God because, obviously, there is nothing I can do about it and he already knows what will come out of this.   It's easier said than done, but I am trying.

Summer Fun

We took a NEEDED break from packing today to cool off in the sprinkler.  It was a great $10 find, and Addison loved how the water made the balls pop out.  She just had to compete with Harley to get the balls.

Didn't mind getting squirted in the face

Trying to figure it all out

Now back to packing....

"Helping"

I know I've been a slack blogger, but it's only because I'm knee deep (literally) in boxes, inspection reports, emails and phone calls trying to get both of these houses closed.

I've also realized that packing with a 14 month old is impossible.....or maybe I'm just using that excuse and putting it off as long as possible because I HATE PACKING!!!

Today I went in the dining to room to look at the empty boxes and contemplate where to start, and I found this.

And then she was off again!  Can't stop her or keep up with her at this point.
and this is just random, but it's her babble face.....talking all the time (can't understand a word) but it's still cute.

Ready.....Set.....Move!!!

Well it's been a crazy week, but it's about to get even crazier!
We signed a contract on our (current) house, Ivy Garden, and are very happy with how things turned out.  We had a lot of traffic with showings this week (4-5 in a day), which made for a lot of fun with carting Addison and Harley around.

But...

It all paid off.  So now, here is the crazy....we move in TWO weeks!!!

We will be closing on our new house,  Trellis Gate,  Monday June 22, and then close on Ivy Garden that Friday.

Cute front porch and much bigger front and back yards....nice being on the culdesac.

Let the craziness begin!  If anyone has boxes or just loves the moving process, let me know.  =)

Cabo!!

My mom and sweet husband were so sweet to take Addison for four days so I could get away on a girls trip to Cabo San Lucas!  I haven't been on a true girls getaway since 2001, so this was long overdue!

Becky, Sheila, Rachel H, Rachel A, Jenni, Kim and I left town on Sunday and landed in paradise that afternoon.  No babies to look after, gorgeous weather, the best accomodations (Thanks Becky!), great food & drink, and time with friends made for the perfect getaway.

Andy and I had made this same trip about 5 years ago.....where this happened.

And this....

And and little bit of this...

But that was then...this time it was all girls, and I have to say that Andy was a bit jealous.  =)
Oh yeah, and with a pregnancy, there wasn't so much of the above....

But there was this......

Gorgeous view from the backyard

Kitchen where Alfonso came and made a great meal...

Looking back at the house
From the living room
Headed down to the beach

Sheila, Becky, Rachel and Jenni
Lots of pool time

Balcony outside our room

Spa day!  Massages and pedicures by the pool

Getting ready for the boat cruise
We didn't plan it, but we're cute all matchy matchy, right?

The whole group on the boat
not our boat....this would be the 85 million $ boat that pays to "park" in the Cabo harbor each day.  Look closely on the left 3rd deck...yes, that's a private helicopter.

Back on our boat enjoying the view

Becky, Jenni, Rachel, and Sheila

The preggos....Me and Kim...it was GREAT to have pregnant company so we could drink lemonade together.
Seals by the boat
Sheila showing off her dancing skills
Such a great trip....when are we going back????!!!!
