Red, White & Blue

This family likes to spread out birthdays.
and America's birthday was no exception.
We celebrated all weekend.

Starting with friends on Saturday at our house.

Of course it was up.

My girls Karen & Annie

This time we let the husbands do the hard part.

We had already worked hard enough.

Even though some of the older boys might roll their eyes at the things we spend time on, some other boys appreciated it very much.

Yesterday we went to Cars 2 after church and BOTH kids made it through the whole thing.
Plus Graham was FREE, so I'd say we more than got our money's worth.

Today was filled with more red, white, and blue.

And then today we headed to Annie's mom's house for their annual 4th of July party.

They go all out!
I loved all the details.

The kids got to work decorating their bikes, scooters, etc. for the annual parade.

and the kids burned off some energy waiting for it to begin.

Oh, big surprise, he's eating.

And then the best parade I've ever seen in my life began.

My little patriots

Addison did great keeping up on her own.

One of my favorite parts was Annie trekkin' with the boom box on her shoulder so that the parade would have a soundtrack.

Dare I say we broke a sweat for the first time since we've moved here?
It was HOT today.

Montgomery boys

And after the kids had completed their display of patriotic pride, we decided to take a group picture. You know how there is always that one dang kid who ruins it for everyone?

Thanks Annie & Family for a WONDERFUL party.

Hope you had a great 4th of July as well!
