Road Rally

The training wheels finally came off at our house just in time for Road Rally at Graham's school.
He was so excited to just race around....cause it's always a race in his book...with his friends.

Punta Cana

A few weeks ago, Andy and I were blessed and I do mean blessed (especially since Addison came down with stomach bug 5 minutes before leaving) to escape to The Dominican Republic with some friends.  Andy's parents graciously, took care of the kids so we could enjoy some time away.  Vacation does wonders.

Lego Man

Graham's obsession with Legos only continues build.
Whenever all is quiet and I haven't seen him for a while....I know where to find him.

Twist my arm, we'll have another pajama day

Another amazing day of a bunch of sitting around, little bit of reading, watching Netflix, and Legos.
Oh, but we tossed in a little excitement by arranging some furniture too....
we're living pretty crazy over here, back to reality soon.

My Kind of New Years

The weather outside is rainy and cold and perfect.
Our plans today include playing games, staying in our pjs as long as possible, and respective members watching Angry Birds, Spy Kids, football, and Serial....or listening, whatever.
It's pretty perfect.

Graham got lots of Legos for Christmas and games, and other five year old high lights....but his favorite thing....or the thing he takes everywhere with him is the box that came with his very first gift card, an I-tunes gift card from Aunt Pipere.
He had no clue about the concept of a gift card before this year and looked confused when he opened the box, but now that it's been explained to him....that he doesn't need a parent to take him to a store....that it's gold to get whatever (within reason of course) game he wants on the IPAD.....
it's opened up a whole new world to him.

That still doesn't explain his attachment to the box, but whatever...

As you can see, it's a pretty stressful day around here...

and if Graham's world has been opened to the gift card, mine has been open to Podcasts...the fact that it's an excuse to put on headphones and tune out the rest of life for a while in an attempt to solve a murder or other world problems....
well, you had me at headphones.

Oh December

Our Sunday school class (the one Andy and I have been a part of since before we got married),
had a kids Christmas party.
I love how even after being gone four years, we (and our kids) can fall back in.

Three of us in this family have discovered the joy of Target footie pajamas.
Go get some.
You will not be sorry.

Graham loves talking to Neo, the elf.
I think he he was apologizing for accidentally touching him while he was stealing candy from the artistic "creation" Neo had made.

Addison loved being a part of the church Christmas program and children's choir.
I love how at this age everyone thinks they sound like Idina Menzel.

 Typical morning iPad cuddle time.

or Mobigo by the tree, take your pic.

A bunch of first grade girls from Addison's school got together at our church to celebrate together.

Graham got hooked on puzzles again.

and last weekend we did our annual night driving around taking in Christmas lights....except this year we had to find a new area.
So we took them in town to River Oaks and drove around.....and tried to get them to stop running around people's yards (or plantations or whatever they are)...

I'm sure a few home security cameras have footage of us.

Isn't this amazing?????
No excuses Andy....throw some lights up next year.

We went ice skating as a family for the fist time.

Addison outlasted all of us by a long shot.
I thought it would be like riding a bike.....
It's only been twenty years, what's the big deal...
I'm OLD, that's what.

We took the kids up to take a tour of the food pantry and shop for and donate food.
It's so easy to take the little and the big things for granted.

And today my sister, Pipere, and her boyfriend got to come for a visit.
It's been way too long since we've seen them and my kids LOVED getting to hang out with her.
Hopefully we'll be getting to see them more now that we're closer.
